Directly after the cessation of the Second World War the society began to believe that the world’s ground ethical foundations are plain and logical . Both global politics and social relations were depending on the concepts of progress , good change , belief in science , understanding , technological advancement , and the ability to ground any activity from a logical viewpoint . However , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world has begun to degrade and now , 40 years after , we find ourselves in a different type of existence .
We effortlessly spot all changes which are brought to us by new technology, but we barely are aware of the fact that there are concrete ideas standing behind those inventions . The core of the upcoming adjustment was initially found by those people, who as a rule of thumb lived anteceding their time – writers and authors. Among the many authors whose works have served for entertainment , there have been a few who have given the planet a new picture of the future . They have more effectively than others other people molded and voiced new ideas and have ultimately created formed a fresh intelligent and perceptual analysis of the future. They have seen problems in the mundane of our lives and have unveiled a number of problems, which were dragging on without being noted . They have helped us to realize the new problems , and have given us new ambitions .
These were the authors who have determined the mindset of the entire generation, which has observed the period of drastic change; change, which was perceived as disarray at the beginning of the 21 first century. They have made us focus our attention to the most tormenting questions of the last era ; those problems , which the people , having lived through the world wars and unseen number of deaths, was unwilling to meet . In the end they were raising the most important question “What will happen in the future”?

They have all significantly influenced literature of their epoch, have showed tendencies and problems which were normal to their countries and the times they existed in, and have made the audience meditate on the real set of moral, having them understand that it is far away from being ideal. One of the most exciting angle of their writing is that in often they have risen the people interest in books and written matter. in this case one of the most interesting success works is that of a well known writer Lewis Carroll .

The success of Joan Rowling can be considered unique as she has found herself to be the first writer in the world to make $1 billion by publishing fairytales. She is currently spending a noticeable part of her money on charity, battling poverty and diseases. The idea of the book was found while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first agreed to publish her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a kind piece of advice — to look for a permanent job. He was doubtful of the idea that the young author would be able to make money of writing books. Joann has demonstrated the opposite - having published a series of amazing fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading.

This paper is not able to enumerate and more or less accurately list all authors who have made their contribution to the today’s literature. They have been working and bringing ideas exactly into the heads of the people, and thus were influencing the future. therefore, as we can see, these authors were not creating for entertainment only, but they were also playing a considerable part in shaping the culture and the sights of a society of the 20th century.
